Can't tell you how happy I am. And I can't even realize why. The fact is that I wanted to make this step from long time ago and there were always things stopping me from doing that. Blai Capdevila, who is impulsing XMLPortal development from the very beginning, has been also compelled by the move. Now is a reality, everyone interested in XMLPortal developement can follow this address xmlportal.dev.java.net and checkout source code from repository.

Activitats Organitzatives, S.L. invested a large amount in making real XMLPortal 1.0. I can't really say it was a hard work. In the way I enjoyed J2EE platform, participated in NetBeans NetCAT program and made a lot of friends. Some are using XMLPortal in their sites. When XMLPortal reached version 1.5, I started to foresee a new framework, based on components. Version 2.0 was the last effort in old core libraries and Elephant project took the first place.

Benefiting from this big change we planned moving code to java.net. Despite XMLPortal state is still incubating I seriously believe in what we have done. Hoping there will be contributors enjoying new Elephant features.
